Feeds
Every article here is published to a feed in full — diagrams, mathematics, footnotes and all. Subscribe once and new writing arrives in an app you already use. There is no account to create, no address to hand over, and nothing decides the order for you.
Subscribe
- RSS 2.0The one to pick if you are unsure.
- Atom 1.0Same posts, stricter format.
- JSON Feed 1.0For scripts and newer readers.
Any one of the three works — they carry the same posts, and your reader will prefer whichever it knows. Most readers also accept the plain address of this site, ecitis.org, and find the feed on their own.
If you have not used a feed before
A feed is a plain file this site keeps up to date. A feed reader checks it for you and collects whatever is new, the way a mail client collects mail. Nothing is sent to us when you subscribe, and nothing tracks what you read.
- Install a reader — a few are listed below.
- Choose add feed or subscribe, then paste one of the addresses above.
- That is all. New posts turn up by themselves.
Readers
- NetNewsWirefree, open source, Mac and iOS

- FreshRSSself-hosted
- Thunderbirddesktop mail client
Not an endorsement of any one of them — they simply all work with the feeds above.
